Hello

Welcome to Nene's Savory Eats!

Our products are typically expected to be enjoyed (best) straight away. Once we start adding certain ingredients to our products, the original state starts altering, so we advise all of our customers in order to get the best of our products, enjoy them right away.

Tips

To keep cakes fresh and flavorful, store them in a cool, dry place, preferably an airtight container or cake cover. If the cake contains dairy-based icing or fillings, refrigerate it tightly wrapped in plastic wrap or an airtight container to prevent freezer burn. Unfrosted cakes can be stored at room temperature for a few days, while frosted cakes should be refrigerated.

To keep baked goods fresh, store them in airtight containers at room temperature or in the freezer for longer storage. Avoid moisture and direct air contact, which can cause sogginess and staling. For optimal results, cool baked goods completely before storing them and consider freezing options for longer preservation. Elaboration:

  • Room Temperature Storage:Many baked goods, like cookies, brownies, and some breads, can be stored at room temperature in airtight containers. This helps to prevent them from drying out or becoming stale.
  • Refrigeration:Cakes, especially frosted ones, can be stored in the refrigerator wrapped in plastic wrap or in an airtight container to maintain freshness and prevent the frosting from melting.
  • Freezing:Freezing is an effective method for extending the shelf life of many baked goods, including cookies, muffins, and breads. Wrap them tightly in plastic wrap and then in aluminum foil, or store them in airtight containers or freezer bags.
  • Specifics for Different Baked Goods:
    • Cakes: Store at room temperature in a cake dome or tightly wrapped in plastic wrap.
    • Cookies: Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to five days.
    • Bread: Store in a breathable bag or bread box at room temperature. Avoid refrigeration, as it can dry out bread.
  • Tips for Optimal Freshness:
    • Cool completely: Allow baked goods to cool completely before storing them to prevent condensation and sogginess.
    • Avoid moisture: Prevent moisture buildup by using airtight containers or wrapping baked goods tightly.
    • Store separately: If storing different types of baked goods, consider separating them to prevent flavor transfer.
    • Consider freezing: Freezing is a great option for longer-term storage of many baked goods.
    • Label and date: Keep track of what you're storing and when it was baked to ensure you use older items first.

  • As God Intended
